The cost of building from scratch has risen incredibly and building is now not allowed at all outside the village boundaries. This together with all the new bureaucracy involved makes building an extremely expensive business.
Renting long term is by far the better option for many without the hassles of maintenance etc. For many wanting a summer residence, holiday home, or, for year around usage, rental is a far cheaper and a more sensible option.
We hold a portfolio of several houses, apartments and studios for long term rentals. These are in Patitiri and the Old Village of Alonissos. Long term rental accommodation is at a premium in Alonissos and difficult to come by but it is always worth contacting us just in case and always in advance. Rentals range from 5000 GBP upwards per annum.
